Did I mention I was Coming to Visit Holland in less Than Two Weeks?

I just thought I'd mention that.

I realize with how busy I've been blessed to be with working, and how little spare time I've had to catch up on my blogging and podcasting and such, that I might not have actually put a relevant update on the internet for those of you who wanted to know.

A few weeks ago, I booked the ticket and I'm going to be in Holland from August 7th until the 20th. I'm really looking forward to it, since when I left in October, I thought I'd be returning before or just after Christmas, but God had other plans. So I've still got a lot of belongings to obtain from Rotterdam and people to see in a few places in the country, and officially say goodbye to and thank for being a part of my life during this recent chapter in my life.

I'm flying out of Toronto on Aug 6th in the evening and arriving at 7am Amsterdam time on the 7th, and somehow getting to the Fire For Life Summer School from there--anybody wanting to pick me up, please let me know b/c I'd much rather pay someone for gas than take the train in a jetlag condition. I'll be there literally just in time for the national day of prayer in The Hague, or 08.08.08 where there will be at least a thousand or a few thousand people praying and fasting from 8am to 8pm for the nation of The Netherlands. I think powerful things happen when many believers are united in prayer and crying out to God for their land. I don't know where I'm staying because I haven't heard back from anyone I've asked (remember that entry I wrote recently about not getting e-mail responses? Well it was NOT written in reaction to this :P)

I've been working at Craaytech, or as I call it to other co-workers Crazytech, where they work with injection moulds and make things out of plastic and paint them. Much like the temp job I had for 5 months two years ago at Merit when I lived in Peterborough, only way closer to home. In fact, I just ride my bike over a bridge and I'm there, spend no money on gas, and have actually SAVED the money I've earned. At first Manpower called me on a Wednesday asking me if I wanted to work for the next 4 days, Thursday-Sunday. I tried getting out of Sunday until I found out I could pick the afternoon shift instead of days 4pm-Midnight, and not miss church (but I did anyway because of how insanely tired I was).

My first shift there, the supervisor asked if I wanted to stay until 4am any of the nights I was there. So I worked Thursday 8 hours, Friday 10 hours, Saturday 8 hours, and on Sunday 12 hours, and then that Monday 8 hours all week, taking me to 9 days in a row of work and $600 which will almost cover a plane ticket to Lima in September. Not how I'd prefer to work, but thankful to God that I HAVE work. It's been steady 40 hour work weeks ever since, and will be until I leave for Holland. Obviously with the nature of temp work, it won't be waiting for me when I get back as they'll just get someone else to replace me when I'm gone, so I've been taking any over time I can get. And I get to listen to all my podcasts and such and catching up on all my Bob Gladstorm since I'll be missing him at the Summer School. You've got to go hear him if you can!--he's there Aug 1st-6th, the cheapest flight I could book was the dates I got so it's a pity and literally a sacrifice I don't think anyone else has such shaking sermons that are evidently birthed from the prayer closet and it shows.

Have you noticed the media player on the righthand column that used to have all our podcasts and mp3s playing for streaming, and that it hasn't been updated in forever and the most recent message is 'What is In Your Hand?" by Jerome Ocampo from last year's Summer School? Don't worry, it's not because I'm too lazy to fix it--on the contrary, I keep checking the Odeo site every day, and in their 'improving' their site, I can't link to the files and post them anymore and for a month they've had a notice saying it will be available shortly. Apparently I have a completely different definiton of 'shortly' than them, and nobody has answered my e-mail inquiring about it, so I'll probably delete it from the sites they're on in the next week or two, because it just looks stupid, don't you think? If it were updating, I'd leave it, but seems how that service is clearly the pits now, I'm not sure I'm going to keep using it. Too bad, I really think having the podcasts on my blog is a good idea, and I haven't found another one that lets me post pictures with each mp3.

Well, that is all. I just wanted to post an update and something that was not about Todd Bentley, Lakeland, or my podcast.

Oh by the way, I've decided to delete all comments that I get on my posts about him if it's obvious right away that the person didn't even read my post but is just spamming me to link back to their blog or site about how he is like Jim Jones or is the antichrist or that Lakeland is proof charismatics are full of crap or stuff like that. I recently got a long comment on our podcast by an atheist or skeptic or something, and he tore me and Dan to shreds, but it was on specific things we said in our show. I always approve things like that out of respect for people taking the time to hear what I had to say, no matter how much they disagree. But if you're one of these heresy hunters and God has appeared to you (cuz when God appears to Todd it's really a devil, but YOU are incapable of being deceived!) and apparently God's Spirit wants you to spam everybody on Blogger or Wordpress to know the dangers of Todd Bentley....then I'm going to just delete it. Fair enough?

The people this applies to obviously and probably didn't read this post to know that, but at least I put that out there in a visible way.

I don't know when my next update or post will be as I'm planning on devoting my spare time to relationships in my hometown and most importantly my relationship with God. So this blog and my podcast will have intermittent updates in for the rest of the summer, save for a few travel updates or whatever.

Blessings and fire on your head.
